These books have been a great addition to my classroom. The students find them engaging and want to read all of them. They are waiting, quite impatiently, for more books and new series to be added to the collection.
The books are very well written and follow a logical sequence of presentation for learning to read, phonetically at the start, and non-phonetic words later on. The stories are well written with colourful illustrations that the children love. From the beginning word booklets to help children learn to put the sounds together, all the way up to the non-phonetic stories, the students can't wait to get to the book shelf.
I especially like that there are books offered with cursive text. This is always a challenge when sourcing materials for those children who are learning cursive writing and benefit from daily reading practice in the same text. These books are now my go to for cursive reading material.

Phonics reader books are essential tools for early literacy, combining reading enjoyment with systematic phonics learning. These books feature engaging stories, captivating illustrations, and structured phonetic cues to enhance decoding skills, vocabulary, and confidence. The incremental progression supports readers at their own pace, fostering a love of reading and setting a foundation for academic success. Phonics reader books are invaluable resources for nurturing capable readers.
I recommend Mahesika Tennakoon as an exceptional speaker and educator in early childhood education, especially the Montessori approach. For over five years, Mahesika has conducted parent and staff workshops at Absorbent Minds, covering topics such as Montessori curriculum, mathematics, language development, and student-led presentations. Her workshops have enriched our curriculum, broadened staff vision, and facilitated the development of unique classroom materials. Mahesika's presentations have helped us achieve our training goals, and it's always a pleasure to work with her and brainstorm creative ideas.
