Elsie’s Learning Well
Hello, I'm Mahesika Tennakoon, an educator passionate about inspiring and guiding early childhood educators on their journey to providing the best education for young learners. With over 35 years of experience in the field, I've had the privilege of conducting workshops in Vietnam and Panama. I've also served as the head lecturer for a Montessori teacher training college.
Level 1
Word Families
Through exposure to word families, children can recognize word patterns and facilitate easier reading comprehension. Each book is carefully crafted to engage young readers, making learning enjoyable and interactive.
Level 2
Phonic Words and Pictures
Encountering a mix of words with accompanying pictures assists children in learning new words and linking them to visual cues. Additionally, the books include interactive features like connecting phrases to prompt children to think and actively participate in learning
Level 3
Early Phonic Stories
Early exposure to phonic stories lays a solid foundation for literacy development and prepares children for more complex reading tasks. The books feature simple phrases composed of 2-—and 3-letter phonic words, as well as phonetic sight words, to promote fluency and confidence in reading.
